Top Plants To Live At Work

Put these on your desk at work and never look back.

Bring a little life to your office personal space. Indoor plants are a big deal these days, especially in the home, but there’s no reason not to spread the cheer to your work place as well. Clear a spot for one of these beauties that thrive in indoor environments, where they’re most needed.

Succulent Desk Garden

Succulents come in several varieties, from ranging and spiky to rounded and modest. Set a trio in simple containers on your desk, or spring for an entire garden of them in a dish. These guys need a bit of light but can go days without watering, preferring things on the drier side.

Cacti

With their unusual prickly appeal, cacti make a visually arresting focal point on any desk. And given their small scale and infinite variety, you can choose to go green or introduce some striking color to your work scene. Water every 2 to 3 weeks and offer these fellas some light.

Jade Plant

A gorgeous addition to your work space, jade plants are becoming increasingly popular in both the home and the office these days. With their dark, thick leaves, jade introduces a ton of texture and interest to your desk. Just let the soil dry between waterings and these mini-trees will last forever.

Spider Plant

Have some space to fill? Bring in a spider plant, with its profusion of medium green leaves. These plants are easy to care for, requiring some indirect light and preferring to dry out between waterings. Spider plants are full of bright green color that will cheer up even the most stressful of days.

English Ivy

Introduce a note of romance to your work scene. English ivy, with its trails of triangular-shaped leaves, will create a lush, outdoors-in feeling on your desk. Keep this one a little dry too, and if it gets too lush, simply hang it in a sunny window to enjoy its trailing leaves from your work spot.
