Make Your Flowers into Art
Have you finished enjoying your flowers? Instead of just throwing them away, make them into art supplies.
Chalk
Take your dried petals and a piece of white chalk and boil both in water for a few hours. The heat allows the color from the petals to transfer to the chalk.
Paint
Combine 1 ½ tablespoons of cocoa butter with 3 tablespoons of cornstarch. Mix together until it is smooth with no lumps. Set aside.
In a microwavable container, place petals with just enough water to cover them. When the water boils (about 3 to 4 minutes), remove the container from the microwave.
Add the pigment to the mixture one drop at a time to get the perfect hue. Mix thoroughly once you obtain the desired color.
Store in a cool, dark place away from UV rays that could affect the color.
Clay
Put a chunk of white clay into a pot of boiling water. Add the flower petals of your choice. Let it sit for a few hours until the desired color is obtained.
