Take Her to a Garden Party: Selby Gardens is world renowned for exquisite botanical gardens. Located directly on Sarasota Bay, the views are unparalleled, and the gorgeous flowers, plants and trees create the perfect backdrop for Mother’s Day Brunch, catered by another hometown legend, Michael’s on East. Brunch is served at half hour intervals from 10:30 a.m. to 130 p.m. If Mom loves gardening and flowers, this is a fabulous way to celebrate her. Go Wild with the Kids: Sarasota Jungle Gardens offers free admission all weekend to those Moms and Grandmoms who prefer to find adventure with the entire family! Creative exhibits, interactive shows, petting zoos and beautiful, often shady grounds make this a fantastic family outing.

Take a Cruise: LeBarge Tropical Cruises leave from Sarasota Bayfront Park Marina, and are another local tradition. Set out with a marine biologist for a dolphin and manatee watching cruise, or settle in for a relaxing afternoon sightseeing tour of Sarasota’s shoreline. This is a relaxing day and beautiful day for all. Don’t forget to head to Marina Jack’s patio or O’ Leary’s Tiki Bar for a meal after your adventure.
Go For a Walk: Whether over the Ringling Bridge, around Island Park, or along our amazing Main Street, there are so many places to walk, relax and explore. Have a picnic (complete with flowers!) prepared and waiting, or arrange to have all of Mom’s favorite people meet you at a restaurant, for an unexpected ending to a casual day.

Here’s a Tip: When you make reservations at a restaurant, send someone ahead of you with a bouquet of flowers for your table. She’ll love how gorgeous they are, and will be even more thrilled that they are hers to take home.
