It’s once again time to play ball! Major League Baseball’s Spring Training officially begins in Sarasota on Wednesday, March 4, when the 2014 American League East Division
Champion Baltimore Orioles host the Detroit Tigers in a 1:05 p.m. Grapefruit League matchup at Ed Smith Stadium.

For the fifth consecutive season, Beneva will be on hand to greet fans and give away tropical birds of paradise flowers to the first 1,000 female fans in attendance.

Come on out and cheer on the O’s with Beneva! Gates are scheduled to open at 10:50 a.m. for season ticket holders and 11:05 a.m. for ticketed fans. Make sure to arrive at the stadium early because the game is sold out and a large crowd is expected. The popular birds of paradise flowers will be given away on a first-come-first-serve basis to female fans only.

Ed Smith Stadium is located at 2700 12th Street (on the corner of 12th and Tuttle) in Sarasota.
