What to do with your 20 roses from yesterday’s $20 Tuesday!
We’ve had a blast delivering over 1,600 roses for this week’s $20 Tuesday special. Several happy rose recipients have asked what they can do to make sure these flowers last. Here’s what we suggest…1. Add tepid water to a clean vase and add the sugar/preservative. The glucose in the sugar/preservative and fresh water are the two most important aspects to cut flower care. 2. As soon as you receive the roses, trim the stems with a knife making sure to cut at an angle. This will provide more surface area for the water to be absorbed. We also suggest removing any leaves that fall below the water line as you arrange the roses in the vase.3. Lastly, keep the roses out of direct sunlight and away from air conditioning vents. This will discourage premature blooming. For more information regarding roses and their care visit our Floral Facts page.
